March 2006 releases

3.3
+ Aquamarine - from the YA novel by Alice Hoffman
A tale of friendship and mermaidism targeted at teen girls. The first major film for Sara Paxton, star of TV's "Darcy's Wild Life." Cute! We LOVE that show!!!

3.10
+ The Heart is Decietful Above All Things - limited release, from a J T LeRoy novel
Talk about deceit! Will the recent reveal of LeRoy's non-existence drum up interest in this film, first premiered at Cannes in 2004? Probably not.

+ Ask the Dust - limited release, from a novel by John Fante
Colin Farrell and Salma Hayek have been pushed back and back, and are finally granted a limited release.

+ Evil - limited release, from a novel by Jan Guillou (Swedish title: Ondskan)
Premiered at Cannes in 2003, a film you're not likely to see in a theater near you.

3.17
+ V for Vendetta - from the graphic novel by Alan Moore
Studio execs are thinking it's the next Sin City, and unexpected break-out hit. We're thinking it will be better!

+ She's the Man - based on Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" ...loosely
Amanda Bynes vehicle which barely comes close the play it claims as inspiration.

+ Thank You For Smoking - limited release, from the novel Christopher Buckley
The tobacco industry did not support the making of this film. Starring Aaron Eckhart.

3.31
+ A Scanner Darkly - from a novel by Ray Bradbury
Buzzworthy for Bradbury fans and Richard Linklater fans alike. Don't forget Keanue Reeves and Winona Ryder fans too.
